noww jay-z is the best rapper alive. from album consistency to lyrics to album sales to respect in the industryy to being the mentor of every new rapper and mentoring the industries greatest todayy ; kanye west, rihanna js to name a few. hes really respected within hip hop and is looked up to where many other rappers view each other as peers, jay-z isnt a peer. hes mad a big impact on hiphop and still continues to do soo. his name is always mentioned in top 5 best rappers to ever hit the mic & quite franklyy i dnt disagree. hes not my taste of music but i giv credit where its needed. i also cant disagree becaues his lyrics still remain at a consistent level. his album consistencyy is relyy on pointt came out in 96 with reasonalble doubt and has been having album sales tht many rappers dont reach. hes overal in my opinion the best out right now.

Wrong!!! Nas is the greatest rapper of all time. He have the utmost respect in the game. You ask any "REAL" rappers out there and I bet you they'll say Nas have inspired them, guranteed. Remember, I said REAL rappers, no SOulja Boy or that D4L shit.

Just because Hov sold more albums, makes more money, and created an empire doesn't make him the greaest [Alive], it makes him the greatest rapper business man alive, quit frankly the greatest. But when it comes down to albums Nas got him beat in every way possible. Lyrics, Nas got him by a long shot. Knowledge, Nas again, he have been proven to spit nothing but knowledge. Instrumentals, nas again and again. And we all know who won the battle between the two.

Don't get me wrong, B.I.G., Pac, Hov are still one of the greatest rappers of all time but hell no they cannot compare to Nas. Pac was a great poetic spitter, but nowhere near Nas' lyrical forms. Nas is both poetry and music combine into one human being. B.I.G has dopped one of the greatest album of all time, but how can you be the best if you only drop three album? Remember, just because the greats died doesn't make him the greatest, it makes them immortal but not the greatest. I've already explained Hov standing so no need for more.
